French Creek School Closed for Hurricane

What is going on at your house during Hurricane Sandy?

Our trees are whipping and its been raining since yesterday.  Some of the local creeks are starting to flood and the brunt of the storm isn't even here yet!

here is a video of 2 hours later... winds are really whipping and trees are bending (hopefully not breaking)

Winds and rain are supposed to pick up later today.  Here is a picture of our biggest trees outside the house, I hope they are still intact tomorrow! Let me know how you are making out at your house.  Mrs. D

  1. Hey, Mrs.Dibattista- what's happening at our house during Sandy is that no damage has been done, but we have these flowers that are outside our gate and they are almost shaping in half there is so much wind and rain! You can hardly see out the windows on that side of the house! In other news we haven't lost power yet but my parents think that we will, and me and my brother think so too. But it's a good thing that we got rid of the big dead tree in our front yard or else the road would have been blocked already. P.S. my brother REALLY REALLY wants the power to go out. How are things at your house?

    1. Same here Ava, the wind is really starting to pick up and it is pouring. I went to visit Mrs. Newman for a spell and hit a huge puddle in the road that I didn't even see. Now we are home and trying to enjoy our electric while we can.

I'm glad that you got rid of your old tree. Our whole neighborhood is full of huge trees. Poor Maddie Hakun's house got hit with 3 different trees last storm. I feel bad for the little league/softball fields, they just got fixed up from the last flood. Talk to you soon!
