Meet Mrs. DiBattista-

Introducing Mrs. Kellie DiBattista

Mrs. DiBattista was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.  She actually started out as little Kellie Bankos and really didn't become "Mrs. DiBattista" until 1992.

Kellie always loved school, she enjoyed spelling, mathematics and writing since the early days of Cotton Ave. Elementary School (now condemned and demolished :( ) Her favorite teachers were Mr. Mark Smith (5th grade teacher) and Mr. Novosel (6th grade teacher and principal- in photo below, Kellie is in red shirt)

Kellie also always loved sports.  30 years ago, she was the only girl on the all-boys little league baseball team.  She still tries to play softball, but isn't always successful and sometimes hurts herself, so she enjoys coaching softball instead.

Mrs. DiBattista has a wonderful family that lives in the OJR school district, so you probably know them.  They enjoy snowboarding, skiing, gardening, riding 4-wheelers and dirtbikes, hanging out with friends and traveling to tropical places.

Recently, Mrs. DiBattista completed her Masters degree plus 60 credits mostly focused on technology, which is why you are reading her blog right now.  She got REALLY interested in incorporating technology into the classroom and plans to share her knowledge with the students in her classes.  She thinks using technology is a lot of fun and it helps engage learners because they have a real audience for their masterpieces.

She has been teaching for 20 years now.  Her first position was as a middle school math and science teacher in Norristown, PA.  She has been teaching 4th grade for OJR for the past 15 years and absolutely loves it!  She hopes to be teaching for another 20 years and then retire to a tropical beach in the Caribbean, where you are invited to join her if so inclined :)  Anything else you want to know?  write her a comment here and I'm sure she will answer you... Happy blogging!
